This case is about how we at HDK Long Run Roofing LTD transformed a leaky, deteriorated roof into a durable and beautiful asset for our client, Jenny.
Jenny reached out to us with severe leaks seeping through her old, painted corrugated roof. The previous paint job merely masked extensive rust and corrosion that only offered temporary relief to Jenny.
We completely stripped away the old metal and redefined Jenny’s roof in just a day, installing a brand-new roof made from premium material. This would ensure long-lasting durability and aesthetic appeal to her home.

We supplied NZ Coloursteel manufactured by Roofing Industries and all flashing by Roofing Accessories. To ensure safe working conditions at heights, we used edge protection provided by Edge Pro Safety.
The first stage involved stripping the roof back to its skeleton framework. We made sure to remove any half-broken nails to prevent potential damage to the new iron.
We cut a new chase into the concrete chimney before installing the new roof to ensure no dust from the bricks would stain the roof. The valleys were installed and joined, allowing water to flow correctly into the guttering system.
We installed Covertek 407 underlay to provide an extra layer of protection. Following that, we installed the new heavy-duty iron, ensuring it was securely fastened and aligned.
The roof was completed with Flaxpod Coloursteel, providing a beautiful and durable finish.
The final steps included flashing all the barge boards, cutting the valleys, and installing ridges. These elements are integral to making the roof’s finishing details look their best.
